Full Prior Informed Consent in transgender care means:

- People are informed about the treatment and take their responsibility to use hormones or surgery (by signing a document that they know the risks of the treatment)

- People are able to use the services of a psychologist, hormone specialist or surgeon as they need them

- People are not forced to use the services of a psychologist, hormone specialist or surgeon if they don't need them

- People have the right to get good information before they start their treatment

 

People should not be forced to get "at least x meetings" before they are allowed to get hormones or surgery

People should not be forced to get "a letter from the psychologist" before they are allowed to get treatment

People should be allowed to talk about the effects of hormones or surgery with a hormone specialist or a surgeon (should not be forced to get information from a psychologist)
